World Tuberculosis Day, observed on 24 March each year, is designed to build public
awareness about the global epidemic of tuberculosis and efforts to eliminate the disease. The
theme this year is “Yes! We can end TB! Led by countries, Powered by people” According
to the WHO, this theme emphasizes the urgent need for high-level political leadership,
increased investment, and the crucial role of community-driven efforts to turn the tide against
the epidemic. Late Dr. Sau Vasudha Zade Nursing College Chandrapur, MSN & CHN
department has organized The Tuberculosis Day 2026 Programme. Which was held from
03:00 pm to 04:00 pm on 24/03/2026 at Vishwanand Auditorium, Chandrapur. The
objectives of the program were to create awareness among nursing students regarding
Tuberculosis preventive measures and the role of nurses in caring patients with TB. The
programme was started by the welcoming of our Chief Guests Dr. Nandali zade maam (Vice
president-Jeevan Jyoti Pratishtan), Dr. Venice Mairye (Principal) LDSVZNC, Dr. Snehal
Patil, HOD (MSN department) LDSVZNC. After that lamp lighting was done by our
Respected chief guests. Followed by lamp lighting, Felicitation of was done. The
continuation of the program was being done by starting the Poster Presentation Competition.
The students enthusiastically participated in it and spread awareness regarding the TB day.
The Invigilators for the Poster competition were Ms. Kalyani Ramteke (Clinical Instructor)
LDSVZNC, Chandrapur & Ms. Snehal Fulzele (Clinical Instructor) VCON, Chandrapur.
After the invigilation, the winners of the poster competition were announced. The first
position was achieved by Ms. Kaveri Sahare and the second by Ms. sanika zade. Preceding
the program ahead, Our Respected Principal ma’am Dr. Venice Mairye guided students and
made them aware about the importance of TB day. At last, the program was ended by vote of
thanks given by student.
