The International women’s day is celebrated worldwide on 8 th of March every year.
This year theme is “Give to Gain”. The IWD 2026 Give to Gain Campaign encourages a
mind-set of generosity and collaboration. Give to Gain emphasizes the power of reciprocity
and support. When people, organizations, and communities give generously, opportunities
and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, its intentional multiplication.
When women thrive, we all rise. So our college OBGY nursing and community health
nursing department has conducted 3 different celebrations. On 5 th march, 2026 obstetrics and
gynaecology society, chandrapur has organized slogan writing and rangoli making
competition on theme of “Awareness on Endometritis” for our 7 th and 8 th semester and
G.N.M 2 nd year student at IMA Hall, chandrapur. In this program at 7:30 am the competition
has been started and following it the students attended the guest lecture conducted by Dr.
Ashish Zarariya from Nagpur on topic of “Endometritis” following lecture the winner has
been announced and our 5 students won the prizes in competitions. And then all
Gynaecologist and nursing students has took an awareness rally on “Awareness on
Endometritis” and then Dr. Kalpana Gulwade Madam has given has given the vote of thanks
and programme came to an end with distribution of refreshment. On 6 th march, 2026 at 11;30
am the 7 th semester students has performed the skit in Postnatal ward at GMC Hospital,
Chandrapur, on the topic of “Women Empowerment”. The skit was performed in front of
all the audience as well as the matron madam and all the ward in-charges and the staff of
OBGY ward. At the end of the skit matron madam (Mrs. Maya Atram) has given the
awareness regarding this day and motivated on the women empowerment. And at afternoon
on 6 th march, 2026 at 4:00 pm Ms. Zebanaz Sheikh (assistant professor) and Ms. Vishaka
Meshram (clinical instructor) from OBGY Nursing department has conducted seminar on
topic of “Women Empowerment” in this way we have celebrated international women’s
day-2026.
